Critic #1: Yiran Ni
Emulation feedback: She preferred the second one better because the version two has too much outlines and it looks a bit messy compared to the first one. She suggested me to add a description of what the circle means. And she said the transparency scale can be lower because for some small countries, the circles will cover the map background.
I added the description of the circle and it looks more clear. I tried to change the transparency but it looks very weird and it doesn't really match to my color model. So I didn't change it.

Emulation feedback: First, she thought my infographics really matches my color model. And the visual language model matches more with my version 1. She preferred the second one at first, because it looks more stand out with the outlines. But the first one matches more with my models. She recommended me to make the title of the text to be more centered for the infographic, and add the bamboo next to the panda. She also suggested me to play more with the title and the annotations to the upper left.

I changed the title to be more cantered. I kept the sub paragraph to the upper right because I tried to change the position to the upper right and it looks not good. I added the bamboo next to the panda.

Critic #3: Stephanie
Emulation feedback: She liked the clear title and the color coding for the version 1,. She thought the version 1 is quicker and easier to understand than the version 2. She thought the version 1 China color doesn't need to be white, and add a comma to the number to make is more like a number instead of a year. She recommended to make a dotted lines coming from China for the annotation. She also suggested to add the bamboo to the version 1, too.
I changed the color of China to be the color of other countries that have panda. And I also added the comma to the number of giant pandas for China. I also make the dotted line point to the China. I also added the bamboo next to the panda.

Critic #1: Soobin
Emulation feedback: She likes my new revision more because she thought the number of giant pandas is an important factor in the diagram. For this reason, she would recommend having the circles with a white background instead so I can also use all of the colors in your color model. She was a bit confused on what the 1,864 mean on China since there is not that much info on what it is supposed to mean. My visual language model is emulated pretty well especially with the outlined circles, filled in countries with a dark accent color and dashed line! My typography model matches well too, but she is not sure if it is the correct font family.
I changed the white background of circle to be white to match more to my visual language model. I moved the number of pandas in China to a bigger circle and move it next to the annotation to make the number more clear. I also changed my font for the names of countries.

Critic #2: Monica
Emulation feedback: She liked the color differences for the maps, and also likes the key annotation part to clarifies what the circles mean. She thought the dashed lines and maps really matches to my visual language model. She recommended me to try to fill in the panda icon and see if it still looks like panda. And also maybe try to do the glowing around the panda. She also suggested me to change the color of China back to white to make it more stand out.
I tried to fill in the panda and it doesn't look as good as the original one. In my visual language model, the glow is around the real photograph of the panda, so I didn't add the glowing part. I changed the color of China back to white.

Location Element & Critiques
Critic #3: Arden
Emulation feedback: She liked the revised one better because it is simple with no details, and it matches to my visual language model. She recommended me to adjust circles to the same size, and have the circle of number of pandas in China pointing to the map instead of having just the number. She also suggested to put colon in the paragraph instead of using is.
I tried to adjust all the circles to the same size, but it will be too big for the countries for Asia. I also changed the is to colon. The number of pandas in China also changed into circle to make it more clear and look like a number.
revisions:
This display shows the people the location for these giant panda as diplomatic gifts are in now days. And it will show the location of where and when this convention come from.

How this element exploits the visual potential of location:
I used the world map to show the different countries that have giant pandas, and the color difference to make the countries that have pandas are more obvious.

How this element emulates the models:
To emulate my color model I used the different greens of to show the different countries. And I also applied black for the dashed line and text.
To emulate my visual language model I used the no outlined panda icons, dashed lines. I also applied no outlined maps and different colors to show the places with pandas in their countries.
To emulate my typography model I used all caps for the countries' tag. And the same fonts for the paragraphs.
